Sloppy and wet out there today. Happy to only have a few slips...
Fairly pleased with this outcome. A very controlled workout effort. Got out and then just tried to settle into pace. Lots of people flying by me (Billig, Keller, Chrudimsky and others). Just tried to stay consistent with the effort and see what happens. Billig ahead of me and I just kind of let him come back to me. Caught/passed him at about the halfway mark and then just kept the effort consistent. Started to close on Maria Eastman as we went along. Caught her with about 1000 to go and encouraged her to get the girl in front of her. She did and put 9 seconds on me. Nice when your former athletes run well. I might have been able to go with her, but didn't really want to push that hard. Definitely had more in me today.
