Plan was to run 13 at normal long run pace and then put in the last 5 at Goal Marathon Race pace shooting for 6:10 to 6:15/mi. (Fast finish long run -- one of my favorite workouts!).

Wasn't sure about this given how tight my right hamstring was feeling. Right after we picked it up, had to run over a wooden bridge at the U. The uneven footing and bouncing REALLY locked it up. Just did my best to stay on it and was VERY happy with the outcome. Staying at 6:09 pace up Franklin Hill is very encouraging. Add the fact that this is the day after a solid hill workout and a 100 mile week -- good stuff!

AVG pace for the fast finish is 6:09/mi. That's pretty darn close to the 6:07 I need to get to!
