Pretty happy with this effort!!! Plan was to ease into it and then try to run Marathon Pace over this hilly BEAST of a course. Did that very well. Took advantage of the downhills and maintained on the uphills. Was right with Dan through 14.5. At that point, my plan was to shut it down and cruise it in for the last mile. Stopped for a few seconds to let Dan and Joe (guy who joined up with us for most of the race) get a bit ahead of me so I wouldn't be tempted to race them. Didn't back off as much as I should but I at least lowered the effort.
Pleased with the way I am rounding into shape. I still have a long way to go, but have made great progressive over the last month or so.
