If I hadn't panicked and run to the line without my spikes with 2 minutes before the start (I had 2 minutes on my watch and people were already lined up and the announcer guy was saying who was in what lane), and if I had slept more than 5 hours (insomnia once I was in bed), and if I hadn't had a cold earlier in the week, I am certain that I would have PR'ed by a ton. As it is 6 seconds off was a good race under those circumstances.
At the 3200m (10:32 in), I was still on pace to run 16:32, but I could not hold on. I'm unhappy, but not sad.
