Nice day to run outside. Snow/ice covered streets in town were not too difficult to navigate.

PF still hinting I need to rest, so will do so.

Not excited about how this running year is starting. Feeling overweight, slow, and injured.

I would suggest some additional time off of running or continue major decrease in running mileage with no fast/speed work until your PF issues subside. May want to focus on crosstraining and strengthening for a couple of weeks with major emphasis on some PF stretching/maintenance work. Good luck. It is early in 2014 - dont put yourself in a hole early with chronic injuries.

Thanks. It's in the works (See today, Jan 5's run). Believe I strained it again trying the intervals on the treadmill the other day.

I've been here before in January and I know what to do…just need to do it!

Do you think an elliptical put too much stress on the heel/PF? I don't mind working out on that machine.

Give it a try and see how it works. Just progress up slowly on the machine as, even though similar movements as running, still different overall biomechanics involved in using the machine.
