Notes

Run plan says 4 easy miles at 8:32 pace.

I ran most of this blind and this 8:27 pace is just where I landed. Didn't feel like I was pushing too much or anything.

A little surprised how my weight is staying off, but I feel strong so I won't complain.

Wished good luck to some Washington runners for the Chicago marathon this Sunday. One guy says he feels good and might just run with me at the DSM Marathon. He just ran the Quad Cities Marathon 2 weeks ago.

I will say that if you run slower, it's possible to do many marathons in a shorter time. One gal from Washington I noticed pretty much walked the final 6-8 miles of the Quad Cities marathon a few weeks ago, but she's doing 4 marathons in 4 weeks.

I am thinking of upping my pace to 8:15-20 for the the first 8 miles. It puts me in a better position starting on mile 9 if I decide I feel good and want to make a push the final 17 miles. Mile 8 is definitely the breaking point. In Duluth, I knew by mile 6 I was going too fast. That pace was 7:50. I think 25-30sec slower is reasonable.
