42º start, 41º 36 minutes later. I wasn't going to run this morning, but at 5am I was wide awake and my legs were feeling stiff from the day before. I probably walked around 3.5-4 miles yesterday in addition to the workout. I decided the walking on hard sole shoes was not the last thing I wanted my legs to remember, so I did a recovery run and did some extra stretching both before and after. I feel much better after the run. No one out and about this morning other than 3 vehicles on the road. One of them Larry Sanders delivering the DSM Register.
9:45 on the first mile and ended with a 9:24 pace. Felt like going faster a few times, but decided to wait until Monday for that. Next HS track meet is Monday at Monte where I will also run an 800. The plan is to run 5-6 miles tomorrow and take Sunday off and walk a little Monday morning.
