Great day for a race. Nice run.
Felt I was going out too fast and as I hit the 2nd mile I was still humming along around 6:15-6:30. As I hit the hill coming back...Balboa kicked everyone's butt. No one passed me, but it was a struggle. Noticed a majority of the runners I was around were doing the 2.5 mile race. I went on to chase down 2-3 people ahead of me. 2 women and a man who seems to be in my age division (never found out). I caught one woman, but couldn't catch the other. On Balboa a man in blue passed me and I just couldn't catch him as we were navigating through the walkers from the 2.5 mile race...He was 28 years old, so not in my division.
19th overall
2nd in the 40-49 Division. 34:40 was over a minute faster than last year. Incredible. I have no idea how I'm doing this.
