Notes

Gone back and forth as far as how much to write, or how little. I think the experience is a good platform for future races, should I be able to manage a proper training regimen over the next few months or years.

The race was a lot of fun. I took the time to engage with spectators and kids lining the course. It as really nice to see some familiar faces, kids from the team, families of former runners, etc as I chugged along the course.

I had originally planned to attempt to run just under (or around) 8 min pace. I quite honestly only trained for 2.5-3 weeks prior to the race with any sort of consistency so I didn't set any lofty goals.

Race day produced great weather conditions, no leg pain, and it came together for a relatively good race for me. I'll leave it at that.
