Notes

This is the best and smartest I've ever un el dorado hills blvd. Started off slow, ended consistent. The times are consistent because they match pretty well the elevation of the route, out and back to green valley. Mile 3 I was still finishing topping the hill which crests around the 3 mile mark. I think keeping that momentum is why mile 4 was close to tempo pace. Mile 5 is the last 1/2 downhill to Green Valley, and that same steep up hill turning around. I'm actually impressed with that 8:45, but I think I was really cooking down to GV Road. Mile 6 I'm still finishing that hill getting closer to the 3 mile mark, very close to mile 3 coming up the other side. And then things pick up going down the hill the last three miles. only difference is I ran up the hill to work and in the parking lot which slowed the last mile down. Very smart run. Still had the stupid stop lights to manage at the beginning and end but I'm not racing so a 9:01 pace isn't that different from a 8:58. Very good hill management run.
