Notes
My equivalent race via McMillan's formula from my 5k before CIM would be 46:23. My marathon equivalent would've been 7:53 pace. I wanted something in between 7:53 and 7:20. And then I left my watch at home... So after feeling tired and stiff from all the good training the last couple of weeks I went conservative and tried to stay in front of Tara and Diane but behind Christine and company, and hope to catch up to them. Not knowing my pace at all, I felt ok at mile 4. Started the push and was able to pick off a lot of people that took me to the finish. I have to believe my last two miles were close to 7:00 pace and sub for the finish, which puts my first 4 miles at just below 8:00 pace. It's a wonder what I would've done with the watch, but I could've over ran as I always do with 10k's. Looking forward to it!
All said, not my fastest 10k but a good race considering my poor 10k past performance.
Splits are estimated.
