Not bad. Strange, I never really felt like I was going to die, but at times I was like... man I've been running this stride for a LONG time. Maybe it was the older girl next to me, who was running 2.1 miles slower, but same stride. This was a progression easy run.... that just kept progressing. It all started at 6.8. Then everytime the overall pace was .3 down (6.5) I would move it up. Well it moved up quick at first and I was like "ok, I'll stop doing it at 7.2". But then I thought, my GMP based on my races are 7:59 pace, so it should'nt be a big deal to run at 7.5, so I'll go up to 7.5. At that time the average was 7.2. But then I was like, coach wants me to run a 3:22, which is 7:47 pace, let's keep playing the game and just relax... So I did. And the more I convinced my self this was a slow marathon pace, the more it didn't feel like a struggle. Even when I cheated and went an extra step up to 8.0, I told myself this is my BQ-GMP... deal with it. Relax! And I did. And I finished. Last half had to be below 7:40 average. pretty good run.
