It's the shoes. It was the cool rain. It was the chow mein last night. The chocolate milk this morning. The training. What else would explain the best long run ever even after another late night of drinking and dancing. I ran with Albert's wife the first 11 miles, hence the reason I did GMP in the beginning AGAIN, and then turned around for the Hazel down hill which got me an extra fast mile. No watch, so had to use the phone, which disappeared for .71 miles. Even if it was a bit short, it's still faster than last week's 20. But I was still feeling good at mile 16, verbally exclaiming to the universe! I knew I could finish without walking. Slowed it down to rest but in a race, I think I could've kept it going. Being I was feeling good I decided to do last 2 ish miles at GMP, but since I wouldn't know my pace until I got my lap alert, I ran faster than expected. I know I could've ran 4.2 miles more in under 4 hours, although I would've have ran those last 2 so fast if I did. Basically, I ran 22 miles within my GMP range of 8:45-8:55. The countless hours will follow now on what my pace strategy for CIM is.
