Not the best run I've ever had. The goal was a progression run with 15 minutes of tempo a little faster than marathon pace. Started off very slow and easy by design, but also because the bottom of my left heel is pretty sore. This came out of nowhere this afternoon while at work and loosened up during the run, but now it's sore again. Hopefully it's nothing and tomorrow is a well-timed day off. Runs like today are a reality check in that they remind me that the years long layoff from training requires a lot more patience. Just because my enthusiasm convinces me I'm ready to do something doesn't mean my body is there yet.
