Why do I run: To prove to myself that I can. I love to hear the pride/surprise in my friends and family's voice when I tell them how much I've ran lately. For the runners high!
Also (a kind of side benefit) I get home 2-3 hours before my boyfriend, and used to just be bored, so I'd eat. Now I keep myself busy so that I don't even have time to be bored before he gets home! :) |
Why I started running: I always have had a love/hate relationship with running - I would go running diligently everyday for weeks, then one day quit and not run at all for a month or two.
Recently I talked to a friend who decided one day that she wanted to run a marathon (she's not a previous runner). She got herself a personal trainer and ran every day, until she finally completed that marathon. She completely inspired me! I wanted to prove to myself that could make a goal like that and keep it! I'm going to kick the bad relationship I have with running and stick it out! |
