better day at ND. got out conservatively, definitely farther back than I wanted to be, but I spotted NCC runners and cued off of them to move up. Moved up well and stayed engaged early on despite running somewhat cautiously. NCC guys broke away from me at 4K, which should have been an opportunity to move with them. After a few rough weeks, this is a good sign. Time to be patient and see how my workouts go.
