Interesting race. The first part is a pretty good downhill grade. You can't help but run exceptionally fast. However, after mile 1, I didn't feel like the downhill really helped much. Not saying it didn't, because I'm sure it did, but it become gradual enough that I did not feel as though I were fighting gravity like I felt on mile 1. I knew I slowed down on miles 2 & 3, but the 5:42 for 2-3 really surprises me... I didn't think I slowed that much.
