rpe7. ...Aug 29 long run was 2hrs. Much more efficient run than aug 29. However, the biggest contributing factor as to why todays run was so much more efficient was bc it was 8 degrees cooler. I also began an hr earlier today than Aug 29. The only reason that might have contributed to a more efficient run today is that I finished about an hr ahead of Aug29 run. Hopefully some fitness has been gained as well. I have noticed that I run slower when it is dark. As the sun begins to come up I run faster...I do not want to twist ankle on broken portions of the path around lake or on road.

Ran about 1.3 miles stopped and stretched. I felt this run pace and effort was hopefully close to my IM pace and effort. Felt good throughout the run. Kept the effort low. Got into a good rythm and just cruised....Consumed 220 cals of gel. And could have had a few more calories. Ran out with about 10-12 mins remaining. Really would not have made that much of a difference...HR was lower than Aug 29 2hr run. Once again temps contributed to higher HR's on AUG29. Todays HR never spiked! A very controlled and well executed run...Positive experience...
