rpe7-8+. Good Swim. Stroke felt good. Same coach at Masters that helped me last time make a very subtle change in regards to beginning my stroke slower and finishing strong helped with another subtle tip. I found the new tip helpful(Unless I was just feeling good today I feel the tip helped).
warm up 500 swim. 5x200 pull on 3:30. I was finishing these on 3mins and getting 30secs of rest in between each. Should have been going on 3:15. Finishing each 200 on 3mins is a 1:30 pace. Even with paddles I felt good about this. I was trying to swim strong and with confidence. 4x50 fins(25 kick 25 swim) The set was 6x50 but I caught a cramp with the fins and only did 200m.
300 swim( I believe I did this on about 5:15 not sure). Followed by 4x100 on 1:45. Each 100 was finishing on 1:30 without equipment. Therefore I was getting 15 secs rest in between each 100.I felt good about this. followed by another 300 faster than the first. I beleive this one was done on 4:45. This is why I am not sure about the first 300. The 1st & 2nd 300 felt pretty close to the same effort and pace. I did try to make the 2nd 300 faster than the 1st.
