rpe 9+. Hard effort ...Too hard first mile tempo. Ran on McMillan slightly downhill. Although nice to see a sub 6min mile it was too fast. 2nd mile tempo turnaround on McMillan and ran slightly uphill. 7:12 pace. This was slower then either uphill mile split on McMillan last week. I knew at this point I had gone out too fast. 3rd mile tempo 6:38 running again slightly downhill on McMillan. Again this mile split is slower then either mile split on the downhill of McMillan last week. Decided to only run a 3 mile tempo instead of 4 mile tempo. This might have prompted me to run faster. But still too hard early on. I feel good. The Left bruised knee is better. I will continue to ice it twice a day.
