tired. The run was tough. rpe8+. Still feeling fatigue, I had planned to scratch the fartleks. Instead I decided to attempt one 30 sec fartlek after mile 3. It felt ok. So I decided to do one 30 sec fartlek after each remaining mile. Towards the end of the run I decided to incorporate 2 additional fartleks. The last 2-3-4 fartelks were longer than 30secs but less than 90 secs. I felt slow and fatigued. Not as bad as yesterday. But I certainly felt like I was strugglin. My data certainly shows I was running slower and efforting more.
I am overall feeling less prepared for IMTX than I was IMAZ. I was so prepared for IMAZ. I dont expect to do as well as IMAZ in IMTX, But one thing is for sure..I will race to my level and then continue to push harder until I cross the finish line..
I am canceling my swim to try and recover.
