Notes
Long ride, hot and tired at the end. A dip in Lake Charlevoix and a heaping plate full of Mexican food along with a beer eliminated a lot of pain. Tons of hills: a lot of very steep hills, some long hills and lots of turns. Some rain at the start, then overcast, but full sun for the last 2/3. The 'extra' loop for the 200k distance was probably the most painful. It was hilly and exposed and there was a good wind.
Aid stations were fantastic -- lots to eat and drink. It was a little far between the second one in Alden and the third one on the 200k loop at the church. Second pass by the church it was a godsend. I would have been in real trouble without that stop.
