1 mile warm up, 3 just under 8, 3 at 7:30ish and 3 at 6:55ish, 1/2 mile cool down

Again I misplanned my route and ended up running a bit long for the cool down.

I clearly sucked at pacing this. I worry that was a dumb thing to do so close to the race but I really struggled to stay near 8. After my warm-up, I kicked it up a bit and I couldn't seem to slow down enough. It felt like I was barely pushing at all but the pace was staying in the 7:40 range. I should also say the first two miles of that 3 mile section is a lot of downhills and flats and then I climb for a bit so the downhills were making it hard to slow down too.

The 2nd and 3rd 3 mile section are a lot tougher hill wise. The first 7:30ish mile (7:15...whoops) was tough because there was a long section of gradual uphill. I felt strong though and I didn't feel like I was wearing down much throughout the workout.

My calves were a little sore and there is a spot on my left hamstring that was a bit sore towards the end. My stride was still at about 95-98%. It's at the point where I can't tell if my legs are just tired from going uphill or if my stride is a little off. It's fine on the flats and downhills and way way better so I'm trying to hold onto that and not worry.
