|Why do I run:
I never thought running would become so important to me, but now I feel depressed when I don't get in my runs. This year (2010) has been particularly difficult because I've had a number of injuries: torn hamstring, runner's knee, strained peroneus, broken toe, etc. It's now November and I am going to "ease" back into my running. My current goal is to qualify for Boston (before they change the qualifying times). I came within 16 seconds of qualifying at the Steamtown Marathon in Scranton, PA. My time was 3:16:15 and I needed 3:15:59 to qualify.
|Why I started running:
I started running (circa 2001) because I was overweight, wanted to get fit, and wanted to improve my chances of living a long life (especially since my children had just been born).
