Notes
A tad low energy at the beginning which made me feel quite nervous.
I had set a goal of 47 minutes. I somewhat hoped to make it 44, but I knew from experience that for a cross country run I could not expect the time I would have done in a road 10K (untrained).
4 loops of 2.5 km (I love this format). The course is on a very well known place where I use to train for my ultras.
I was able to focus from the beginning, had a small incident as there were a lot of kids and I had to pass a few slow runners. I got cut by a branch of a blackberry bush, no big deal but got me out of focus. I was able to stop myself from swearing all too much, fortunately (I don't like to swear in front of kids).
I was able to use my knowledge of the course to save energy in the downhills for the single but steep sand bunker where I was able to perform quite nicely.
All in all I felt very good during the race and I was able to stay focused and keep a constant and possitive focus and (I think) pace.
Nice. I feel very happy about the run.
