Flat and shaded. ran loops which are about 1000m each loop on Bishop blvd at SMU. Fluids(gatorade w/ carbo pro) were placed beside a lamp pole and would drink every 2-3 loops. Took one stinger gel at the halfway mark.
Avg. pace 8:46 and HR 155
Max pace 6:59 and HR 175. I did sprint the last 100m to the finish that is why my HR spiked to 175.
other than that I tried to keep it below 160.
Felt fine. Hip flexors and trapezius were getting a little tight.
