Difficult run. It was hot and humid and i forgot my sodium pills. worked from 630a friday to 330am saturday had 2 hours of sleep. GI distress before the race and was nervous. Started off @ 740 pace for the first 2 miles slowed down to 745-750 pace. started to get picked it up at mile 11 and started cramping in my legs, feeling dizzy, got chills and thought that I was going to hit the wall. Attempted to sprint at the end which I probably looked stupid because my legs and feet were cramping. I felt horrible after the finish and went to get an IV. I could not stop sweating. Overall i did better than expected since I had no idea what to expect.
when I am at work i wear compression socks/hoses. I've done it since I started nursing. It makes a difference with keeping my legs rested.
