Second try at the pre race tempo run. warm up followed by 6 sets of 1000m @ GP -10sec w/ 600m @ GP +20sec recovery. Really felt so much better then the first time. the intervals were tough, but i was running them well under 9:20 most of the time. I was a little slower then recovery at times, but I was pushing the intervals so much that by the 4th recovery I needed the break. 4-6 were definitely tough and 5&6 were very mental to get through. I felt that it pushed me without wiping me out. I might have been able to push a little more, but it would have turned more speed then tempo.
I wish I could have gotten a better cool down, but it was a good workout still
