Notes

I dedicate this run to Nate Gordon because of his consistent perseverance despite any hardship. Ahh nothing like a night after a long day of traveling. It was the prefect release of all the stress that built up throughout the course of the day. scrambling to get on my flight, getting yelled at by a security guard at the national gallery for touching a 14th century painting, having Asher hang up on me three times because my flights was on time and his wasn't. when we got back I had to unload not only my hefty suitcase, but also groceries for the week. on top of that, I couldn't find my trusty GPS watch- damn that. In short, I needed to run. I headed out the door tired and grumpy, turning onto broad street where the gas lights that illuminate the misty streets had festive wreaths around them. I headed down church hill and onto the Capitol trail crossing the roaring James. When I was on the other side, I saw the most magnificent view of downtown Richmond. All the skyscrapers had lights on the edges and the reflection into the James was superb. From there on out, I enjoyed myself, weaving through the romantic dates on the river walk and greeting the homeless under the sketchy bridge. I missed Richmond, especially the people here. love you guys too though. Oh, I thought o dedicating the run to Nate while surging up the last hill. #nevergiveup
