3 mile warmup with 4x 20 strides in the third mile, then straight into 5 miles at tempo effort. I didn't look at my GPS a single time, so this was all based on effort. It felt quick but comfortable, so I was hoping that I was running under 6:00, but wouldn't have been surprised if it was 6:0x. I am surprised now, looking at the splits, to see that I was consistently running around 5:50 pace. That's very encouraging!
