Ticked because I forgot my gloves today. Then, the sidewalks and track were covered in snow, so I had to run in the roads, which were very busy all sorts of douchebags and asshats who tried to run me over. Luckily, the workout itself went very well. Did 2x 0.5 mi @ 5K effort with quarter mile recoveries, then 3 miles at MP, then another 2x 0.5 mi @ 5K effort. The halves were tough since I have done almost no 5K pace work in the past two months, but the MP section felt great. I could have kept that pace forever; it was almost like I was jogging. I could feel my calves start to tighten up though, which I hope it from the 5K work and not the MP work. Since they felt good on the 13-mile MP run I did with Brett and Kenny, I'm assuming these shoes will be fine for the marathon.
