I have only really been running for 6 months. I was reasonably good at school, but never one of the real top rank guys. Now I am nearly 40 and have taken it up again.
I took running up to get me fit for my other passion which is hiking and peakbagging. I have climbed the top 6 peaks in the north island of New Zealand including my first alpine summit of Mt Ruapehu. Also have attempted or knocked off many more of the following peaks on the list.
Last year I completed the 100km oxfam trail walk finishing 44th out of 290 teams as part of an amatuer team in 23 hours.
