Thankfully it wasn't too hot for the tempo. We did the full warm-up routine beforehand. It really helped me mentally prepare myself for the tempo. I felt pretty good during the tempo. I was loose but legs were a little tired. The first three miles were easy but I started breathing harder about 20 minutes in. It was a lot of mind over matter but I finished the run pretty strong.

My splits were about 5:40, 5:33, 5:35, 5:44 (with a turnaround), 5:35, and I held pace pretty well for the last quarter.
