Gorgeous spring day, first trip to the goldmine this season. Aspens up there barely leafed out. Wonderful temp. I hiked up in 45 min, which was a steady hiking pace with no stops. Last year at this time it took me 60 minutes up, with regular breaks. I expected downhill to be faster too, but it was the same (45 min)--lots of rocky, washed out areas where my knees tended to ached and it was easy to trip. Don't know how people trail run!
