About me: I currently live in Eagan, Minnesota, a southern suburb of Minneapolis and St. Paul. I work as a teacher in the south metro as well as a coach for high school and adult runners. |
Why do I run: I run to stay mentally and physically fit. I also chase fast times, and though as I get older some PRs are going to be out of reach, running races as fast as I can still motivates me to keep a training schedule.
I also run for the social aspect and enjoy talking about running, serving as a pacer, and coaching other runners. |
Why I started running: I started running to have something to do after school. My dad was a principal, and he said I needed to focus on school and that I couldn't work on school nights. So, I joined the track team and have been running off and on ever since.
After running in college for a couple seasons, I only ran intermittently until 2009 when my wife invited me to run the Twin Cities Marathon. I've been hooked every since. |
