This is the first time that I've tried a run/walk regimen on a loop course. I'm doing this to prepare for Across the Years in December. I figure I need to get myself used to the monotony of a short loop, as well as figure out a good run/walk ratio. The 5/1 ratio that I tried today was fine, but i could see that it might be too short of a walking time to get much food down. I may experiment with a ratio by distance, as this would make more sense to simulate going passed the aid station at regular intervals.
