Notes
My first marathon. What a fun experience! I enjoyed myself through the entire event (despite the hard work.) I loved the Portland atmosphere, the fun crowds cheering on runners and all the great entertainment!
I felt really, truly proud of myself at the finish...despite the 2-minute gap between my time and BQ. I did not expect to even beat 3:50, so I had to celebrate my accomplishment. It was also very fun being able to celebrate the well-deserved BQ finish of my great friend Anne!
I'm hooked on crazy distance-running. who would have guessed?

very fun to see Gwen & Deb at the finish...then Laura met back up with me outside the gates...then Nell caught us on our way to Chipotle. Brian came through with the bag-o-dry clothes & sweet embrace.
What a great feeling to achieve something I wasn't sure I could do. I ran a marathon!!! I think I'll do it again sometime.
