Notes

The last several months have been spent primarily emptying our house, fixing it up, and getting it on the market and a good portion of that involved 100+ mile daily commutes between the RV and the house, all of which worked to prevent my exercising via running/walking. Though I did manage some exercise, I knew it would not be regular and did not bother recording any data. Now, the house is empty and on the market. We're full-time in the RV and I should be able to get back to regular exercise. Yeah! Anyway, back to today...

I wore my Vapor Gloves for this workout. I made a conscious decision to wear thin soles and let me feet get beat up by the gravel. It worked. They are a little sore now.

Since it has been a while, I just set the HR alarm at 150 and walk/ran under that.

I tried to practice keeping stiff joints and using the glutes more, but found that the prolonged period of different activity/inactivity has de-tuned my springs. My achilles were getting tight again and the springs just wouldn't load right. Having tight achilles did not make me faster. I think doing some more potty squats and getting regular with my exercise again may help my springs get back in tune with a better balance of loose/tight. Part of this may be related to muscle firing. If the supporting muscles are not firing at the right time, they may not be prepared to be loaded when the glutes fire. It's hard to fully load a wobbly spring.
