I'm really happy with this race, I may have gone out a little quick with the 1st three laps around 80, then fell back to 82's. I was running pretty solid at 83 when Matt Genacopolis caught up to me I ran with him till the start of the 2nd 5k then was able to put like 20 meters between me and him. I lapped some kid from springfield, then in the final kick matt caught up in the last 200 meters, but I was able to hold him off in a gorious finish. I took my red gloves and threw them in the air. I got 7th place out of 14 runners. No one over 35 minutes scored, last year only 10 runners finished and 7th place was a 35:31, so thats nearly a minute slower the field is getting deeper, also, season PR by like 24 seconds.
