Hey, there! okay so SPAC 2014 5k and I ran the same exact time as last year 1 week later in the season. (though maybe it was slightly longer this year)

I went out in the back, slide to the far left and just ran like my eyes were closed (not caring who was around just running to feel allright) I kept the feeling of allright untill the 1 mile marker that was 6:34 (last week I came in t0o fast at 6:12) I then recalled coaches voice and told myself "don't setlle" So it was Emily, Maddie, Taylor and I down the pool hill and just like 3k workout Emily surged ahead. I hate downhills so i just went maximine pace without falling. Then I went up Ferdinadle and this is what I LOVE about this course, a hill when I am dying because it forces everyone else to slow down and then I can push myself out of my comfort zone to pain. Then in the woods I made sure I caught 5 because I knew it would be my last possible chance then back out in the straightaway where the first nonRPI person passed me since the first 1k.

Overall- I think I ran smart way better pace then last week. The time compartvley to teammates is slow, but I'm running my race. As I grow as a runner so does the team, maybe at the same pace but they started out faster. It's fine I'm HAPPy! it was a good race feeeling wise.

Good job. It's all in your brain. When you saw the clock with 20m left you had an extra gear for the time you wanted...where did it come from? Your brain, learn to push those buttons earlier and you'll PR time and again.
