Why do I run:
I keep running 20 years later to keep in shape and see if I can eventually push myself to a couple new PRs. I took a 5 year hiatus in my prime year of 23-28 and missed so many good opportunities to race fast but am trying to get it back now. Maybe it's too late but I am going to give it one last shot at some fast times before I get too old. |
Why I started running:
I started running when I was 11 in a year that AAU didn't have a basketball team. In my first year I was 4th in the AAU Junior Olympics 800 meters in 2:18 and also 4th in the USATF Junior Olympics in 2:17. I never stopped running after this. I was addicted and love running, racing and doing something that I knew was totally individual. |
