Notes
I don't know exactly why, but today's run felt very good, especially considering that it was drizzly and not that warm. I've noticed that when I wake up and my resting heart rate is in the mid to low 50s, my runs feel a lot better than normal. I've got to keep an eye on myself and figure out how to make that happen all the time.
I was trying for an average of 150 bpm for the run and I ended up a little lower. My max of 158 came when I was getting a little too excited on some hills. A thought struck me today, and that was how my current running form compares to my high school running form. I get the feeling it's different, but that may be the fact that I just can't go as fast and so I feel slower. I think I might want to start doing some strides after a few workouts a week to get myself feeling faster.
