I wonder if it would have been better to take this day off. I worked all day and decided to head out for the run afterward, intending on 8 miles. I only got 6.5, and my legs felt like absolute shit. Just really beaten up and tired. I may have needed more recovery from Sunday than I thought. Also, a new pair of shoes couldn't hurt; I tend to underestimate the effect of shoes, but there may be something to the notion.
