Today was supposed to be a 6 mile marathon pace workout, but that was not to be. Despite wanting to run 6:40 pace for a marathon this fall, I can't even come close to doing it for more than 4 at a time. This workout was just really hard. I opened with a slower than 7:00 mile, then ran a couple in the 6:50 range, then struggled to hit 7:00 for the 4th and had to stop. I jogged a mile, and then did a final 6:48 before jogging home. This pace feels so hard to me, but it really shouldn't. Maybe I'm just tired from the 5k workout.
