Decided to head to the track to do a workout, mostly to see what kind of shape I'm in right now. The workout was supposed to be 8x400m with 200m recovery, with the 400s at 5k pace and the 200s at a slower but still kind of fast pace. My plan was 1:23s for the 400s and 49-51 or so for the 200s. The result was disappointing; After the first round of 400-200, I could tell it was too hard. After the third round, I had to stop for about 30 seconds to recover. I finished up much slower, around 5:50 pace for the 400s and 7:30-8:00 pace for the recoveries. I also had to cut it short, my legs were way too heavy to keep going at any kind of quick pace.

This was too hard for right now, but I'll revisit this workout in three weeks or so, after I've gotten some fartleks and stuff into my legs.
