A good race. When I finished I was elated to see a 16:30, but after the effects of the race wore off I started to think more critically about it. As much as a 45 second PR would have been amazing, I had to ask the RD if the course was accurate. Turns out that no, it was not. I came through the two mile at 11:00, so it seems reasonable that I closed it out with around a 5:30 mile. The RD didn't know exactly how short the course was, but he said it wasn't by a lot. I'm going to generously say 3 miles, because I honestly think it's right in line with what I could do today. Plus, if it were very short I think I would have heard a lot more talk about PRs.
