I chose to run right around sunset today to avoid the heat, which was a good choice, although it was still kind of hot. No pain in the leg, although there was tightness in the shin for the first 1.5 miles, which sounds about right since that's basically a warm-up distance. Again, tried for 165 but ended up keeping under 170 instead. Eventually, I hope for the pace at 170 to drop down in the mid 8:00 range, but we'll see what happens.
