found out on my warm up that the course was changed..wasn't too happy as I knew the other course very well and had a pretty decent game plan..regardless I went out just about where I wanted to be...was running with the overall womens' winner for the first mile and a half...hit mile one right at 5:53..right on target..but then I started to slip a bit as there were some hills that I hadn't accounted for so hit mile 2 at 6:08..a bit off pace but a better second mile than I have run in awhile..passed one guy around the 2.25 mark and was in 7th..had two more runners in my sight the women's winner and another guy who passed me at the 1.5 mile mark..thought I was going to catch them but I started fading fast..I got passed by another runner with 0.25 mile to go..damn this sucks..hit mile 3 in 6:19..shit..just coasted to finish since my goal was out the window..finished in 19:09 in 8th overall and 1st in AG....FAIL but at least my times are still moving in the right direction..they just seem to be taking forever to get there.
