There were no course marshals to direct runners on the course about 600 meters from the finish. Runners ran off course and over 5K. Nobody was disqualified. Not certain of race distance either. Finished #3 in masters in my first masters race. My official time is 20:49. My 2 mile split was 12:45. That means I would have run the last 1.1 mile in 8:04 at 7:20 mile pace! I would say I had actually run the last 1.1 mile in around 7:00 minutes at 6:22 mile pace, on par for a 19:45 5K.
