Notes
Man I felt chill as frick though 5k. It was almost like a tempo. There were several times in the first 5k that I wanted to pick it up, but Casey and Caleb kept me in check. One time that it was so hard not to make a move was at 4k when a UNI pack came by us. They were grinding hard. CJ May (state champ in HS) was the one who was leading them. But I just stayed chill and relaxed and waited until the 5k before I started to go. After the 5k I surged and didn't look back. Passed the UNI guys and I am pretty sure I beat May by over a minute. And the best part at the end was that I did't really kick, I just picked it up for a smooth finish. I know for a fact that in those big time races I'll be able to drop a nasty finish, but for this meet I am content with the last 100 meters.
Team looked great too.Heinz and Frosty ran out of their shoes and I love see all their hard work paying off. Love this team, now that's get after it this week, see you at the Dan Huston.
